Attorney Listing Policy

This policy explains how attorney and law-firm listings may appear on Dog Bite Atlas and how we separate directory information from editorial content.

Purpose of the directory

The attorney directory is intended to help users identify lawyers or law firms that may handle dog bite, animal attack or related injury matters in a particular jurisdiction. A listing is not a guarantee that a lawyer is the right choice for a specific matter.

Verification

Where practical, we may verify publicly available details such as attorney name, firm name, office location, website and bar admission through official or authoritative sources. Users should independently confirm current license status and disciplinary information with the relevant state bar or licensing authority.

No invented rankings

Dog Bite Atlas does not create unsupported “best,” “top” or “number one” lawyer rankings. Directory placement should not be interpreted as a comparative judgment about legal skill, case results or suitability.

Sponsored and enhanced listings

Lawyers or law firms may be offered paid profile enhancements or sponsored placement. Paid placement will be clearly distinguished from editorial legal information and does not influence our explanation of statutes, court decisions or legal rules.

Information supplied by law firms

Some profile information may be supplied by the listed lawyer or law firm. Claims about experience, awards, languages, consultation terms, contingency fees, prior results or areas of practice may be displayed only when we consider the source sufficiently clear, but users should still verify important details directly with the lawyer.

Removal or correction of listings

We may correct, suspend or remove a listing when reliable information shows that it is materially inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, no longer relevant or inconsistent with this policy.

No attorney-client relationship

Viewing a listing or contacting a lawyer through information found on Dog Bite Atlas does not create an attorney-client relationship with Dog Bite Atlas. Any professional relationship is between the user and the lawyer or law firm that agrees to provide representation.

Jurisdiction-specific requirements

Attorney advertising, referral and lead-generation rules can differ by state. Dog Bite Atlas may limit, modify or decline certain commercial listing or inquiry-routing features in jurisdictions where additional requirements apply.

Report a listing issue

To report outdated or inaccurate listing information, use our contact page and include the attorney or firm name, the listing URL and the information that should be reviewed.
